Gli Evanescence tornano con What you want, il nuovo singolo estratto dal prossimo album omonimo della band made in USA.
Già vi avevamo parlato dell’uscita di un disco omonimo per Amy Lee e compagni (nell’articolo Evanescence: un nuovo album omonimo a ottobre 2011. Ecco tutte le novità!) ed a distanza di poche settimane da quel post ecco apparire il primo singolo estratto. Per quanto riguarda l’uscita ufficiale dell’album la data è stata slittata rispetto alle indiscrezioni filtrate qualche tempo fa. Se inizialmente si indicava la prima settimana di ottobre come periodo papabile per il rilascio del disco, ormai è ufficiale che l’album omonimo della band vedrà la luce il 11 ottobre 2011 (così come indicato sul sito ufficiale della band).
Sembra confermato inoltre che si tratterà di un album omonimo, sebbene ancora non sia stata diffusa una copertina ufficiale. Difficile in più dire quante tracce avrà il nuovo lavoro in studio degli Evanescence. Dovremo attendere ancora qualche settimana per avere la tracklist ufficiale del disco.
Per il momento vi riportiamo il nuovo singolo rilasciato pochi 
giorni fa ed a seguire il testo. What you want sembra presentare una Amy Lee forte e con una grinta ritrovata. I fantasmi del passato sono ormai alle spalle e il gruppo appare rinvigorito dal periodo di pausa. Un pezzo incisivo What you want, che ricalca in parte lo stile degli Evanescence di un tempo.. ma con aperture a nuove sonorità. Che questo album abbia delle sorprese da rivelare? Staremo a vedere. Per il momento ci sentiamo di dire che a noi il singolo piace… e siamo curiosi di sentire le altre tracce.
Prima di lasciarvi vogliamo svelarvi anche un altro piccolo “segreto”. Il video di What you want sembra essere quasi terminato e verrà rilasciato a breve. Particolarità del clip è che hanno partecipato alla sua realizzazione ben 200 fortunati fan degli Evanescence… interessante no?
